Random Tuesday Thoughts- Entry #4!

randomtuesday

I haven't done a Random Tuesday Post in awhile, so I thought I would do it today.

-I am getting fed up with waiting for my grades. Everyone else I know has either gotten all of their grades or at least some of them. I wouldn't complain so much if this didn't seem to happen every term, but it does. I'm pretty sure what grades I received, but it's not official until they are up.

-I love Spring Break, but I really want to get out and do something. The only problem is that I either can't think of anything, or I can't do those things right now. Hopefully I'll find a few more fun things to do this week.

- I want to organize my closet. I keep saying I am going to do it and I keep putting it off, but it will be done by the end of the week- mark my words!

Well, that's just sad, but that's all I can think of. I'm off to (hopefully) clean up this apartment!

Parlez-Vous Francais?

I had a great time at the beach and now I am looking forward to a bit of relaxation at home before the beginning of Spring Term. The weather was amazing on Friday and then sunny but windy yesterday, but overall, it was great beach weather for March at the Oregon Coast. I spent most of today getting things put away and cleaning. I am hoping to do some major organizing this week so that everything will be nice and tidy when I return to school. I also have some projects that I have been too busy to complete that I want to get done.

I am taking French and I'm thinking about using Rosetta Stone to get a little ahead this summer. Has anyone ever used this before? I don't want to pay a whole bunch of money if it isn't going to help me, so let me know what you think.

Beautiful Beach Day

Today has been beautiful here at the beach. We went down and ran around a bit, looked at some awesome shells, and jumped off the sand dunes. Now I am exhausted. I'm having a great time and I am enjoying the beginning of Spring Break. We don't get a lot of this type of beautiful weather at this time of the year in Oregon, so it's extra nice!

Going to the Beach!

It is almost Spring Break and I am excited to leave the city and go to the beach with my family! I have one more online final and one in-person final and then I am officially done with Winter term. This term was extremely difficult (due to events outside of school, the actual classes weren't bad), so I am really happy to have made it through.

I am also excited to take my camera to the beach. After watching a slide show of pictures that was made to honor my friend Sarah, I realized that I need to take more and not be so shy about being in them. Also, I was searching around my computer and found a couple short videos that had Sarah in them and they mean so much to me now because I can watch those and feel like she is still around, so I figured, why don't I record more videos with my camera as well? I don't know what it is, but pictures and videos can bring back such vivid and wonderful memories and for someone like me, who has a horrible memory, it is really great. I'll post some pictures from the beach if I get any good ones.

I hope you all enjoy your Spring Break (that is if you are lucky enough to get one)!

Swagbucks

I am so proud of myself! I finally figured out how to add the Swagbucks icon onto my blog! Yes! (And yes, I am aware that this is probably not something that is difficult to other people...)

I LOVE Swagbucks! I have already used my points to get money put into my Paypal account and I have to say, all suspicion disappeared when I saw that I actually received the money!

How it works:

You use Swagbucks as a search engine and every time you search, you have an opportunity to win Swagbucks! You can also look through their "special offers" section and just by clicking through a few ads (you just click "no thank you," you don't have to buy anything or visit any sites), you can get even more Swagbucks! Then, once you have enough, you go to the Swagstore and redeem your Swagbucks for things such as gift cards and other great prizes. I am so happy that I found it! So, what are you waiting for? Click on the tab and register!

Also, any time you refer people, you can get every Swagbuck that they get up to 1,000. So if you click on the tab at the right, you'll be helping me out. Then, use the referal on their site to get your friends to help you earn more!

I am so glad I am finally figuring out some of this blog stuff. :)

Month in Review

Last month was an interesting one. The biggest thing that happened last month, and I believe will be the biggest thing that happened for a very long time, is that my close friend Sarah died. I know I have mentioned her in previous blog posts, but as time keeps passing, I sort of expect her to come back. Just the other day I was thinking about The Academy Awards this Sunday and how I wanted to do something fun while watching it and I immediately thought, "Oh, I'll watch it with Sarah" because I knew that we would have fun critiquing what people were wearing and their acting skills. Then I remembered. It was weird. It's still weird. It will always be weird. I watched the slide show that was shown at her wake and I laughed and cried and it caused a whole confusion of emotions, but I was glad to watch it and know that I can have that to look at and see Sarah's face when I am missing her.

Other than Sarah's passing, I wrapped up my first season of head coaching of a junior high team, which was a big accomplishment for me. I also have just been trying to make it through the school term while dealing with these health issues that are making it really difficult for me. I'm making it though, so I'm happy right now.

That's all for now. Hopefully more soon.
